Subject: How to connect my JVC Subwoofer (not powered) to my receiver
Hi,
I have a Harman Kardon Receiver, 2 Klipsch front speakers, 1 JVC subwoofer (looks like it is not powered), and 2 JVC rear surround speakers (the JVC speakers are a set). Now, behind the subwoofer are 2 sets of inputs and 2 sets of surround speaker outputs. I have no clue as to how to connect the subwoofer to my receiver. The receiver has 2 sets of connections for front speakers and surround/ rear speakers. It has a connector to which a powered subwoofer can be connected (thats what it says). It also has a set of connectors for the center speaker. What I dont understand is to where do I connect the subwoofer's 2 inputs to. Also since the subwoofer has 2 rear speaker connections, do you think it is better to connect them to the subwoofer instead to the receiver's surround connectors? I hope someone would give me an idea of how to get my whole system working. Thank you very much.
