Yes, I know a program because I told several people in this forum about Cool Edit. You can download it from CNET. Just type in Cool Edit in the search and CNET will find it. It will give a few versions. Cool Edit 2000 is good but this version is a shareware version that you can not save. Just read the FINE print before downloading. I have Cool Edit for about 4 to five years. Then I had a slow computer and I can not do much with Cool Edit. Now I have very fast computer and it takes a second to do any feature with Cool Edit.

Tripath's amps are not tricky if you can find a power supply that has a +5VDC, 12 volt, and a +/-40VDC to +/-90VDC supply. I think I need to design a switching power supply for these voltages. This is easy but the 12VDC is what I don't understand in the spec sheet. It said that the 12 is the reference voltage. I think I might use a voltage divider from the 40 to 90 volt rails but this might cause it to not work correctly. Tripaht included a mute function for the output devices. This means I can design it for safety and thump protection. The 40 to 90 volt rails is seperated from one channel to the other channel, so it might good to have a high power rail to low power rail. I might use three Tripath's amps this will give me 6 amps. I can use the 6th amp for subwoofer about 500 watt and have the other ones be 100 to 150 watts. This will be good for prologic systems or home theater systems.

I will notify everybody in this forum when I'm done with the amps. Just give me a 6 months to a year because I will be in school and gathering up money for this amp project.
