Subject: Tripath amps. . . what are they selling?

I'm interested in buying an amp from Tripath. The problem is, I am hopelessly confused as to what I would be buying. Their "eval boards" seem to be more or less complete units, simply requiring a power supply and housing. Am I wrong? I know very little about electronics, and I am worried that I may have to assemble something that I don't understand. Do the amps require additional assembly of any kind? Can an electronics newbie use one of these things, or should I have a degree in electronic engineering?
