Quite true, but remember there's still that "50% more power" thingy - and a 300W amp usually costs more than a 200W amp :-). The Shiva will always win in the value for money race. What the 2012 does offer is a low Qtc in a small box, and might be more suitable for situations where box size is a big issue. Typically, this does not occur in the average listening room :-). Brian
