Subject: Adding to a cheap sound system

I have a cheap sound system, the Logitech Z506 (http://www.logitech.com/en-us/speakers-audio/home-pc-speakers/surround-sound-speaker-z506). It is somewhat satisfying for my use - mainly for PC audio and occasionally music. I would like to install a second subwoofer for the left side of the room, without throwing away this brand-new surround sound. I'm willing to spend about $150+ on woofer and limiter etc. and would like to put it together myself... What do you guys think would be the best way to do this? If it's even possible. I was thinking I could split some cable if I didn't have an appropriate output and just limit the signal to under 80hz.

Thanks for the help!
