The bass unit we're looking at is Dayton's DVC385-88, a 15" sub unit. It claims smooth frequency response up through ~400hz, would it be a downright bad idea to use it in more of a 'woofer' configuration in a ported box of around 4 cu ft tuned to 24hz? I'm showing a decent response graph in WinISD and it would provide the SPL sufficient for our needs. Next question is what other drivers I ought to pair with it, but this is a subwoofer forum :-D
