Subject: Basic Question - Connecting active subwoofer with active speakers

Hello,

I'd like to connect the following source and destination items and would like to know if I need an Active Crossover or a Passive Crossover:

Source [signal/sound]
1) Left Channel 1/4" output from Synth Keyboard
2) Right Channel 1/4" output from Synth Keyboard

Destination [signal/sound]:
1) Mono powered subwoofer (RCA)
2) pair of Yamaha MSP5s (active Monitors) (1/4" jack)

I'd like to take the signals out from my synth and connect both Left and Right inputs to the Mono and then from there take the Left and Right singal and feed my Yamaha MSP5s.

Any input would be greatly apprciated
