Matt go and read the info on sealed speaker and vented speaker on this site.

You normally build a box to suit a specific driver and it's parameters.

If you combine two drivers in one box then you usually double the internal volume to make the new box match the drivers.

You can tune the box size and the vent if fitted to alter the bass response.

Fitting two drivers in one original box is unlikely to work if vented. It can be made to work if sealed, but it's quite a deign exercise to get this right. READ READ READ. Then test your drivers to find the T/S parameters. then the box/driver design starts.
