Subject: Potted or sealed?

Hey!

First time poster here, need some input.

I'm planning on rebuilding my current subwoofer for a more home
friendly version. Currently the enclosure I am using was buil for my
66 merc, but I'm now using it as my home stereo subwoofer. I'm
using a soundsplinter Rlp-15 powered with a behringer ep-1500.

I'm torn between ported or sealed. Currently I have designed a box
that is 7 cubic feet and tuned to 22hz, but I'm wondering if sealed
would be a better way to go. I listen to a large range of music, and
watch a few movies here and there. But I'm looking to fill a large
room with solid bass, generally at very high volumes.

So, sealed or ported? What do you think. Any suggestions on size
would help aswell.
