Subject: building a box for the back of a jeep wrangler

im looking to build a box to fit in the space behind the seat of a jeep wrangler. ive built bandpass boxes to fit in cars and trucks before but have never had to work in a space like this or in a vehicle that i would still like to have decent sound from with the top off. ive heard recomendations of mounting the sub upsidown but dont even know where to start in designing this box... do i go upsidown bandpass style with port on the top? what to do what to do =). i was also hoping to get enough space that i could have a small side of the box totally sealed off from the sub enclosure that could have a locking door to stuff shoes or extra shirts in when i go hiking and the top is off to keep it safe. the space i have is approx 36"W x 12"H x 12"D at the bottom tapering to 10"D at the top. IDEAS!?!?!
