Port calculations |

I'm building a 15" sub box (5 cu.ft) and I know the port calculations for round ports and rectangular ports, but I don't see any equations for rectangle ports that use one side of the sub box ass a port wall.
I have to think that this effects the tuning some how. I mean after all instead of the port opening up into the box on all sides it only opens on one side which must effect it, correct?
So my questions are:
1) What do you call a rectangle port that uses one side of the sub box? (a shelf port?)
2) What is the equation for this type of port?
Thanks for the help. Moderated By: brian@diysubwoofers.org
