Coupled Cavity Design Questions |

Hi
I'm following an old design from Wireless World for a Coupled Cavity unit using to KEF B139s, article by Ian Gosling.
The design is two sealed 80L tanks with the third 56L tank between them. One driver is mounted firing into a sealed tank, the other firing out of the other sealed tank.
I've had to re-shape the dimensions slightly, I'm keeping the same volumes, but taller narrower unit because I don't have the space for a big block in the room, but do have a handly large alcove for it.
My questions are: 1. Does the port have to be straight, or can it be folded back on itself as long as the cross section remains constant?
2. I'm assuming the ports volume is external to the volume of the middle chamber from which it vents?
Thanks for any help
