Subject: port calculation.

Greeting. I'm building this (http://www.parts-express.com/pdf/290-
597c.pdf) medium sized vented cab for the eminence 3015 speaker to
be used from 80hz - 250hz.

I am trying to substitute a single cabinet wide rectangular port instead
of the two 4" diameter round ports. I get a port area of 25.12
(3.14x2x2)x2 for the two round ports, which would give me a 1.15 X
22.5 rectangular port. The baffle is 22.5 wide. This seems wrong to
me, but I'm not sure how.

Is this too narrow a port? It certainly doesn't seem equal in area to the
round ports originally spec'ed. Should the port length remain the
same?

thanks for any insight.
