Subject: Help with Vented Box


Hi,

I have recently bought an Alpine SWE-1043 subwoofer.

Here are the technical information:

External box dimensions: 16.5" x 12.5 x 15.5
Gross internal volume: 1.35 ft3
Vent Area (dimensions): 11" x 1.24"
Vent Length: 22.5"
Vent Displacement: 0.23 ft3
Net Internal volume: 1.00 ft3

How can a vent of 22.5" fit into this box (with the above box dimensions)?
