Design Using Twin Vieta 12" Drivers With Port |

There is a fellow from San Francisco selling a pair of passive subs on Ebay. They have two Vieta drivers per cabinet, and also use a port tube. He says it is a "Compound Loaded Irobaric Configuration". I'm trying to get an idea about efficiency: Can a reasonable integrated amp from say, Carver or Sansui do the job, or does one need serious watts in the 4 ohm range to get power. Any comments that might be helpful? I can't seem to find the drivers at the Vieta website, or the design pdf, either. Do the woofers have the dreaded foam surround or a butyl rubber that will last? Thanks! Moderated By: brian@diysubwoofers.org
