Subject: Trouble with formulas.

If I calculate F3 using:
(F3 = Fb*((1/Qtc^2-2+((1/Qtc^2-2)^2+4)^0.5)/2)^0.5)

and then put that frequency in to:
(dBmag = 10*LOG(Fr^2/((Fr-1)^2+Fr/Qtc^2)))

dBmag does not = -3.
Why?

Seems when I compare graphs made by CAD applications (for sealed boxes) the graphs are tend to be much "louder" than what the dBMag formula above tends to predict.

Any ideas?
