Don't proceed with any cutting until we discuss the details further. The towers that I suggested could be laid on their side, lengthwise, and the (Klipsch) mains stacked on top. Having the (sub) driver closer to the floor is probably better than not. Hopefully, they will sound their best in that location and position. That's hard to predict before hand.
