I have some doubts that I didn't quite understand you... I don't know if I am right to call bass static and dynamic-I call static the organ and all constant frequency generators and I call dynamic the bass-guitar, drums... because once the string is hit it's "left on its own" and gradually increases the frequency like a ball dropped. I believe any sub-woofer depending on resonance will have transitional problems because of the inertia of the system (now 2 systems)so I don't bite this.As for pure sine I understand static bass and for dynamic I understand smooth transition through infinite number of frequencies.I have listened to bass-guitar reproduction around the port's tunning Fs and I find it the same poo you talk about. However I tune ports far beyond what most "transitional" instruments can play.Whatever the thump is still muddy and undefined.Maybe the woofer is cheap or maybe it's something that suits more a couple of 6" mains than a 15" sub.Comments are very welcome because I am still learning! P.S. Qms_8,37 Qes_0,55 Vas_250 Fs_21 Xmax_11 Re_3,3 SPL_88 Pe_220 piston_12"(woofer 15") Box_367 Lit. tuned to 14,5 Hz (two 4 inch diameter ports) The program says it does 102 Db but who knows
