Subject: Aura 1808 / NRT18-8 / Seismic 8196: source for soft parts?

Good morning all,

I have an older Aura 1808 driver which is in need of a "re-cone" kit. Aura will smile and shake my hand as they sell me a fully populated replacement basket, but to think of my basket going into the grabage is a sad thought. That and a re-basket kit seems like the easy way out, and that would be too smart for someone like me :P

That being said, I'm thinking of making something of an experimental driver with my 1808 shell. I'm looking for soft parts - especially voice coils and spiders that would fit the Aura 1808 (or updated Aura NRT18-8, or Seismic 8196 which is another version of this driver). I would also be interested in cones and surrounds, but I might (Wait for it!) make my own fiber glass cone. Yes I know, but it will be an interesting failure.

If any of you know of a source for soft parts for this driver, I would be very happy to hear it! Again, I'm looking for stock replacement voice coils for the 1808, NRT18-8, or Seismic 8196. As for spiders/cones/surrounds, I would be interested in anything having similar specs, and correct dimensions. (Cone weight doesn't matter so long as it is a fairly rugged type, as I will be experimenting with Mms).

Thanks,
