Subject: am i a noob?

im new to the subwoofer world and am finding a whole mess of variables and choices to make about things I know nothing of.

first off, i have a restricted budget to 200 bucks.

second, ive found 40 buck subs (ill get 2) and a 70 buck amp (two channel 1000 watts each per channel@4 ohm)

sub

amp

now, i was origionally going to spend 300 or so on a 200 dollar amp and one 100 dollar 12 incher, but have been found this combos that seems just as good for 150 range..within my budget.

the big question i have is if, given the same max output and close RMS, close sensitivity will the speakers sound the same? or are materials the big thing that makes the diff?

the 70$ amp is actually more powerful than my origional 200 buck one (RMS Power at 4 Ohms 1000 W x 2
RMS Power at 2 Ohms 500 W x 2 versus 500 peak watts for both subs) but is not a D..how important is that?.. has close SNR. THD seems to make little difference below .1% maybe even 1% from my reading..correct if im wrong, but i seem to have luckly stumbled across

so far it just seems like ive struck it sweet and halved my expected price for no loss...actually gain, but that just seems too good to be true.
