Subject: Re: The wire going into the cone broke, what do i do?

Contact the manufacturer and the retailer. There could be warranty
issues in effect. If nothing come of this, then you need to find a
re-coner in your area. It's possible, that experienced pro's have
developed an in-basket repair procedure. If the braided feed wire
were to break, that transition point, into the cone, is where you would
expect failure.

Levels of (attempted) repair:

a) Remove dust cap, gain frontal access, attempt repair in basket,
reinstall or replace dust cap

b) Remove dust cap and surround. Lift out cone assembly to gain total
access. Attempt out of basket repair, then reinstall cone assembly and
install new surround, replace dust cap.

c) Replace cone assembly

d) replace driver
