Subject: Using 4" coaxial speaker as midrange

Can I use 4" coaxial car speakers as midrange drivers for a 3-way speaker system for home application? What difference would it make with a standard midrange driver (besides impedance)? What might be the problems? I want to use it exactly like a midrange, neglecting its tweeter (using a higher quality tweeter), crossing it over like a standard midrange driver, using seperate chamber for this driver.
