Subject: Re: design suggestions for Radio Shack DVC sub

the Qts says that a ported box is not suitable.
Choice of sealed box or infinite baffle.
The high Fs when loaded by a sealed box will rise even higher. This will require enormous EQ to get decent bass response and unattainable EQ to get sub-bass response.
But look at Xmax. This is too low for good bass.
You are struggling with this driver in a sealed box.

A set of them in an infinite baffle may work with a bit of EQ to bring the bass response up, but forget sub-bass duty.
