Subject: Isobaric (k?) Questions

Hello,

I have several old 10" drivers lying around that I decided to put to use. Since I have multiple and they're rather cheap, I want to use them in a closed-box isobaric config. I know people tend to scoff at isobaric arrangements these days, but as I said I have extra drivers lying around and I also want as small a box as I can get!

I've been using the Loud Speaker Design Cookbook as a guide. I would like to configure the system such that I have the two woofers facing away from each other, each mounted on the end of a tube (sonotube).

So my questions:
1) Why is this setup so rarely mentioned in online discussions? Almost every mention I see is where the two woofers are facing each other (clamshell). Is there something wrong with my choice?

2) Assuming nothing is wrong and I can continue with my choice, the two drivers' magnets will be close to each other. Will their magnetic fields interfere with each other? How far apart should they be? Currently my design has them far enough apart so I don't feel any magnetic repulsion between them.

Thanks in advance, and apologies for the novel!
