Hi,
instead of a spectacle I
have a full plate.
Yes it is very stable.
However, at 160 Hz the sides
start to vibrate and I guess
that there are small gaps that
open and close, and that makes
a rattling noise.
In other words: I suspect that
the bracing plate is not very tighly
glued to the 4 walls, and there are no
screws to enhance the construction
there. It is just a 22 mm egde
glued perpendicular to the plates.

It is definitely not the cone
or magnet or basket.

Between braces (which make the nodes)
each wall will form a hunch or be sucked
in at some characteristic frequency,
depending on specific mass and stiffness
of the material. It can not be prevented.
