Thanks a lot! That's one of the problems that I was considering (different sensitivities) but didn't know the proper term of art. I kept thinking about the sub playing "louder" etc. but that's exactly what my big concern was. I think I might try to find an affordable pair of amps (or a suitable stereo amp) instead of beginning what would surely devolve into a fiasco.
