Subject: An "easy" crossover question...

I have been crawling all over the internet trying to find an easy answer to this question. Anyway, I have a pair of Paradigm Titans (V. 3) and I would like to make a pair of passive subs to strengthen the bottom end. I like the titans and want them to take care of their own business as much as I can, so I am hesitant to run them through a high pass... it seems like the people at paradigm knew what they were doing. So I want to essentially set these up in a mock bi-wire scenario. The subs I'm looking at are 4 ohm, the titans are 8. So all I think that i want to do is make a low-pass (I think I want it to be at 70Hz) for each sub box. I'd run a line to that from the same channel that the mains are on-- just like in a bi-wire. Would this work? Would the different impedance cause a problem?

I was thinking about making powered subs, but I don't need or want these to end up making over-powering bass.

Thoughs? Suggestions? Thanks!
Matt
