Subject: help please, TS parameter procedure vs. model

Hello,
I understand all aspects of
speaker models, acoustic load,
mass-spring-damping and coil
resistance/inductance.
Using this standard modelling
I get nearly the same results as
other sources.

But: when I write down the equation
for chassis impedance I can not see
the relation to the Q measurment
algorithm which is also proposed
on this site. I understand that it
is basically a bandwidth measurement
of the impedance peak. I guess that some
simplifications are made in order
to get estimates of Qes and Qms.

Can anybody tell me, how the algorithm
is derived or what the simplifications
are ?

Thanx.

m.c.
