well, if we assume that it can handle either 350 or 500w thermally, then we need to figure out what sort of excursion this sub is capable of. This will help to dictate what size and tuning frequency are appropriate.

Are you looking for it to go BOOM, or to extend super low? how big can it be? Also T/S parameters would be helpful, they ~might~ be available from the manufacturer of the driver.

In general, having more headroom is good, BUT you run the risk of turning your precious woofer into steam.
