before I changed the surrounds on my Tannoys, the surround had degraded to such an extent that the Fs had fallen to about 10Hz (from 22Hz) while they were in storage. The Vas must have been enormous. You could try measuring the T/S parameters and model the behaviour of the driver/cabinet in WINisd pro to see what you've got.
