Advice on current setup and changes |

I currently have 2 12" subs in a sealed box (no ports). One is a MTX RoadThunder, and the other is a Alpine. I am thinking of upgrading my subs. What are the BEST subs out there? I have a 1600W 4 channel Performance Teknique amp. Should I get a new amp, or a second? Will an amp of the same W work the same? (Is there REALLY a difference in amps if they have the same specs?) My bass hits very clean already, so should I just cut a port in my current box?
PS When it concerns amps, I will NOT use a 2 channel
