If those computer speakers are powered, you probably have them connected to the line-level output of your computer's sound card, using a standard mini-plug connection.

If that's the case, and if you're going to buy a powered subwoofer, buy one with line-in /line-out capabilities. Then, you'll need a mini-plug to RCA cable (should be available at any decent electronics store) and a female mini-plug to male RCA adapter (not so easy to find - try Radio-Shack).
