Subject: Re: Dorm sub, driver suggestions?

your going to replace a tube amp with a transistor amp? i dont know much, but i d know that tube amps are much more crisp and clear. My home theater system is powered by 5 watts, and its transistor, but i have to keep it down at night because ther neighbors complain, my sub is 3 watts, and each satilite is 1 watt, the amp itself takes up 7.5 volts @ 1.2 amps, i prefer this small amplifier over the old yamaha and poineer receivers...i tried to find links to it, but it turns out they're not making them anymore, another thing u could do is make a 4th order pandpass and put a table cloth on it and use it as a night stand, no worries about wreaking havok on the driver itself, maybe caulk on some tiles to the top or something, but in a small space, try to make the sub double as a table for when ur sittin down, mount the sats up higher pointing down at you.
