Subject: Dorm sub, driver suggestions?

I'm looking to build a dorm sub because the monster 10.5cu ft vented tempest I built about a year ago is just too much in every aspect for a dorm room.. too loud, too big, and due to thin walls, too low. :-).

Budget: ~$150 for driver and amplifier.

I'm looking for something in the 1-2cu ft range with an f3 of 25-30hz - probably vented, PR's would have to fit within the $150 budget. as with my last project, lower is better, this is the most important aspect for me). 95-100db maximum (sustained) spl would be just fine. If possible I'd go with the 70w PE amp but more power can be done if necessary.

Would any of the dayton acoustics drivers fit the bill? Anyone built something like this recently?

Thanks,

Freq Freak
