I don't think this is an issue.
A good 15 will go to 800Hz and a good 12 will go to 1100Hz.
Not so good versions should probably be crossed an octave below these frequencies.
400Hz should not be a problem for any half decent mid range driver. Most mid rangers will go below 200Hz.
