Subject: hey guys, looking to build a home sub with more power than tempest


hey guys,

You've helped me a long time ago pick out my tempest and my rockford fosgate amp. Which was great! Tinsel lead broke off recently.. :(

I'm looking to put something in my home now. I would like to spend $800 canadian on the sub and the amp.

I would like it to play some deep bass like petey pablo - freek a leek and various playstation games like ssx. I would also like the box to be under 4.0 cuft.

I've been looking at the avalanches - $384 canadian for the sub, and $659 for the adire audio sub amp 600 watts. So total package would be over $1000 with shipping and tax.. a little too much for me.

I looked at the tumult - way too much $$ for me.

So is there any other good brands that you suggest that I could build? which is louder and sounds better than the single tempest which i use in my car?

Suggestions would be very appreciated!
