Very true. I only had them about 1/3 of the way up just before the clip indicator lit up. By friend recommended that they should be up 80% with the preamp limiting the level. That way they would get the best dynamic response or something like that. However, I'm weary since any mistakes could blow the cones clean off. I'm looking to get a dedicated electronic crossover such as a Rane SAC 22 to limit the input levels.

Currently, I have the car box hooked up and it doesn't do these Infinities any justice. It sounds rather muddy in my opinion since each port is about 2.5" wide and 4" deep at the back. Oh well.. hope somebody can help me out
