Holly shit guys... Would it be better to actually have the speakers in the room instead of a hole in the ground design? To me it seems that the speakers are in a make shift PVC pipe if you will and port into the house instead of actually be an infinittie baffle (me imagines wall full of speakers and the other side is another room [would it be possible to have the backside hit reverse and then put speakers in that other room revers polar and have it so it also played good tunes?])
I'm finding with my speakers (I don't know what they are, but hell they kick ass for garage speakers), that when I used a bigger box (bigger in all directions 1'x2'x2') it didn't sound as bassey but in the (5'x1.5'x1' rough est.) they sound awsome.
