3db compression? is that all
my jbl is GOOD and ,it has 3db at half its rms power i think..

yeap 350x2 into 4ohm .
My little SV10 subwoofer does about 100dB in my living room (all the way down to 20 Hz too :-)) and (1) that's 5dB more than my main speakers can produce (assuming their specs for peak SPL are correct, which I doubt)

i bet my mains do only 101db,and im doing up to 116db with proper amp on my jbl.i dont need 116db mains:P
(2) a few dB more than my room can handle without starting sympathetic vibrations. 116dB is like rock-concert level :-).

my room wobbles with 20watts into a 94db efficient 8inch LOL

howabout 240 into 33hz jbl.. :-D

:^)
