Oh in this case I don't think output would be a problem :-). My spreadsheet suggests 120dB capability (@50 Hz). Even if you knock 3dB off of that (power compression, etc.), it's still 117dB anechoic. Expect quite a bit more in the typical living room :-).

Good question. You could use a pro amp that does at least 350Wx2 instead, and wire the speakers separately.

My little SV10 subwoofer does about 100dB in my living room (all the way down to 20 Hz too :-)) and (1) that's 5dB more than my main speakers can produce (assuming their specs for peak SPL are correct, which I doubt), and (2) a few dB more than my room can handle without starting sympathetic vibrations. 116dB is like rock-concert level :-).

That alignment sounds fine. I like tuning to 30 Hz and below as well. I find that the low bass (but above 30 Hz of course) in the music sounds better. Chemical Brothers' makes good testing material ("Under the Influence" is a good test to see if your amplifier maintains control over the speaker at high volume :-)).
