if you have the 6.1 power - you might as well use it - you paid extra for this feature . try using a basic full range speaker to see the effects . if the dvd is only 5.1 then the back center chl will be an extended front center ( which i have done and it is a lot better ) the added main voices from back added to the front center adds depth to the movie and seems to evelope you into the scene . if you like it then buy a nice speaker -
