Hi Chris!
The Shiva does not need to be orderd from America - its available right here in Australia. Give Acoustic Concepts an email, their website is at http://www.acousticconcepts.com.au/. If I recall its AU$320 including GST. And they are in Victoria too, so you save postage costs, and the plate amp is also available in Melbourne.
If the Jaycar 240w/8ohm plate amp is too expensive, then the 150w/8ohm (240 @ 4ohm) plate amp will also work for you. They are AU$369 each.
