Subject: should i go with 10" or 12" memphis subs.. there the same watt peak??

i am trying to choose between 10" or 12" memphis subs.. but they both peak at 400 watts.. but the 10's are cheaper.. what ones should i go with??will the 10's deteriorate faster or what? any input would be great!! thanks!
