Don't rely too much on my information on this particilar post. I am usually very knowledgable in answering questions on this board, but this has me at a disadvantage, because I have only dealt with a system with the sattelites routed through the sub once, and I had the same troubles. I know most things about other home setups, and I'm fairly knowledgable in almost every aspect of a car system. But since I experienced the same trouble with my girlfriend home theater, of similar setup, I would have to say that the design just sucks, and you should get a powered sub.
But like I said, this question has me just guessing, so before you take any action, I would wait until someone who has had more experience with this type of configuration posts a reply.
