Since you said a custom box.... you can do anything you want with it. Tell dude to hold off building it for a second and just ponder with me....

Ok you can build into your spare tire well... I've done this before. But you know what happened...?? While trying to turn around cuz I missed the house the pizza was supposed to go to, I blew out a tire....

You ever try to move a 4.8 cubic foot box, two amps, all them wires etc etc etc. from off of your spare tire. All my amps were on top of the tire, caps underneath..... and it was just bad.
There was a former poster here, who used the name Cory. Had a website with his neat lil Toyota pickup. The box he made, actually had dual amp racks, one on each side of the top built into the box, with neat plexi tops and all.

In your situation this should work best. Really any car can fit nearly 3 cubic feet of space, it just can't be a golden ratio box or anything. If you get inside your car with a tapemeasure you should prolly have internal dimensions of like
36" to 40" internal width between wheel wells.
anywhere from 20" to 28" internal depth from the backseat to the back of the trunk
Internal height looming anywhere from 14 -16" and tapering upwards of 18"+ right behind the rear windshield.

With this kinda space, I'm pretty sure an amp will fit. Here's one.... just being a bit crazy. Figure out the displacement of your amp, and put it in the box.... Just have screw down type connectors on the outside to hook all your wire etc. to........
