The "group delay" of a bandpass box should be very similar to a sealed system with the same lower F3, fed through a series LP filter to produce the same upper F3 of the bandpass system.

That's because the "commercial" bandpass systems are typically designed for efficiency, rather than accuracy :-).

No larger than a ported system using the same driver with similar lower F3. And the bandpass box will provide greater excursion control below Fb.
