Subject: What size enclosures will I need for these speakers?


Hi all,

I was hoping you could help me work out what size (sealed) boxes I'd need for my speakers.


The first:

Sony XS-L1220

12" Subwoofer
Maximum Input Power 800W/Rated Input Power 250W
Frequency Response 25 to 2.8kHz
Sensitivity 93dB
Impedance 4ohm

How do i work out the Vas and the QTS? what frequency do i put in to the calculation, as it gives a range.

If someone could work it out (And show calculations) with a QTC of 0.8, It'd be much appreciated.


The second:

Pioneer TS-A6910

3-Way 6" x 9"
4ohm impedance
120 Watt
35-20,000Hz
93dB/W/M


How do i work out the Vas and the QTS? what frequency do i put in to the calculation, as it gives a range.

If someone could work it out (And show calculations) with a QTC of 0.7, It'd be much appreciated.
