Subject: Re: How do RF subs and amps compare to MTX subs and amps?

i did forget to mention that the 2 channel MTX amps are class
A amps. this means they're not as efficient as class D amps,
but I believe that class A amps sound better than class D
amps. one reason is the damping factor. the 6152 and 8302
have a damping factor of >200, which is very respectable for
how much the MTX amps cost. most class D amps have
damping factors around 50, but some of the better ones -
such as zapco amps - can have damping factors anywhere
from 150 to >1000!!! just check out the specs and compare
(this applies to both amps and subs).
