The Adire AVA250 and the PE amp are essentially identical. The only difference is the AVA250 has a boost/rumble rolloff filter that is more suitable for use with the Shiva (surprise!). PE has info on their website on how to change the boost settings on it's amp, so if you are comfortable working with electronics, save $60 and go with the PE amp.
