Subject: Question on the end millenium notes

"Most manufacturers would just parallel the output transistors to give the high power, but we find this method has important flaws. Paralleling power devices is like building a car with a total of 300Hp by putting 2 engines of each 150Hp. It could work, but co-ordination problems are inevitable. In power amplifiers paralleling of the output devices, produces high order (very unpleasant sounding) distortion."
